SNORKEL · COSTA DE LA LUZ
Dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Costa de la Luz and discover the underwater world hidden by Cádiz: shoals of fish, rocky bottoms teeming with life and unspoilt coves accessible only from the sea. A guided snorkelling experience for all levels.
The province of Cádiz hides some of the most spectacular coves on the Spanish coast for snorkelling. Waters that stay mild almost all year round, rocky bottoms full of life and unspoilt beaches sheltered by cliffs make this area a unique destination for lovers of the sea.
From the Estrecho Natural Park in Tarifa to the La Breña Natural Park in Barbate, we explore the spots where the Atlantic and the Mediterranean meet and marine biodiversity reaches its greatest splendour.
At the southernmost tip of Europe, the waters of Tarifa hide one of the richest snorkelling spots in Andalusia. Playa Chica, sheltered from the levante wind, offers excellent visibility and varied marine life: horse mackerel, sea bream, gilthead bream and even octopus among the rocks.
The waters surrounding the Trafalgar Lighthouse and the Varadero cove in Caños de Meca are perfect for snorkelling when the sea is calm. Mixed rock-and-sand bottoms, posidonia meadows and shoals of small fish await you just a few metres from the shore.
Two hidden gems of the Cádiz coast: Playa de los Alemanes, a semi-private cove with small reefs and golden sand, and Cala del Aceite in Conil de la Frontera, protected by high cliffs and one of the few beaches in Cádiz that stays calm even with the levante wind.
The best secret of the Costa de la Luz is not on the sand. It is beneath the water, waiting for whoever dares to look.
We choose the perfect time of day based on the tides and water visibility so you can enjoy it to the fullest:
The sea in complete calm and the best underwater visibility.
Sunlight penetrates the water better and brings out the most vivid colours on the seabed.
Warmer waters and a sunset on the beach at the end of the activity.
We offer a complete experience, with nothing for you to worry about. Our specialised guide will accompany you throughout the outing, explain the species you will come across and make sure the trip is safe and memorable.
We include all the snorkelling gear (mask, snorkel, fins and a wetsuit when the water calls for it), optional transfer from Seville or Cádiz, and a briefing before the dive. Suitable for beginners and for those who already have experience with the activity.

Everything you need to know
No previous experience is needed, but you should be a confident swimmer. The activity is suitable for beginners: our guide gives a briefing beforehand, helps you with the gear and stays with you in the water throughout the dive. For those who already have experience, we adapt the route to coves with greater depth and marine life.
The full activity lasts between 2 and 3 hours, including the briefing, time in the water and a rest. The cove we visit depends on the sea and wind conditions of the day: Tarifa, Caños de Meca, Playa de los Alemanes or Cala del Aceite. The guide always chooses the spot with the best visibility and the weakest currents.
Yes, the activity is suitable for families with children aged 8 and over, provided they can swim and are accompanied by an adult. For the youngest ones we adapt the route to shallow areas and calm waters. Get in touch with us to personalise the outing for your family.
The activity depends on the state of the sea. In the event of strong wind, swell or poor underwater visibility, we reschedule at no extra cost for an alternative date. We will let you know as far in advance as possible and always put your safety first.
A swimsuit, a towel, water-resistant sunscreen and a pair of flip-flops. We provide all the snorkelling gear: mask, snorkel, fins and a wetsuit when the water calls for it.
We recommend booking at least 48-72 hours in advance. In high season (July, August, Holy Week) it may be necessary to book further ahead. You can always check with us on WhatsApp for immediate availability.
We offer pick-up at your hotel in Seville or Cádiz. If you prefer to travel on your own, we give you the exact address of the meeting point at the cove we visit that day.
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before the activity. If the cancellation is on our side, we offer free rescheduling or a full refund.
