PRIVATE TOUR – Málaga, Costa del Sol
Discover Málaga in a day from Seville with our private guided tour. We venture into the historic heart of the capital of the Costa del Sol: a city with 2,800 years of history that surprises you at every step with its architecture, its cuisine and its Mediterranean light.
The route includes the most iconic spots in the centre: the elegant Calle Larios and its Art Nouveau architecture, the spectacular Atarazanas Central Market with its impressive Moorish stained-glass window, the Roman Theatre from the 1st century BC, the imposing exterior of Málaga Cathedral —known as La Manquita— and admission to the Alcazaba, the best-preserved Moorish fortress in Spain, with panoramic views over the Mediterranean.
As it is a 100% private tour, the pace and the interests are yours. Optionally you can add a visit to Gibralfaro Castle and to the Picasso Birthplace Museum. Your expert guide will tell you the stories that don’t appear in the books — from Moorish rule to the Málaga of Picasso — while you explore the city at your own pace.

The journey to Málaga takes about 2 hours along the A-45, during which your guide will tell you the history and context of the city you are about to visit. It is the perfect moment to personalise the day’s itinerary according to your interests.
We start on the iconic Calle Larios, the pedestrian heart of Málaga, with its 19th-century Art Nouveau architecture. We continue to the Atarazanas Central Market to admire its spectacular Moorish stained-glass window and soak up the atmosphere of a traditional Málaga market. The ideal moment to try a local product.
We visit the Roman Theatre from the 1st century BC, rediscovered in 1951 at the foot of the Alcazaba — a historical overlap unique in Spain. Next we admire the imposing exterior of the Cathedral, «La Manquita», whose unfinished north tower hides a fascinating story connected to the independence of the United States.
We enter the Alcazaba, the 11th-century Moorish jewel. With admission included in the tour, your guide takes you through its courtyards of horseshoe arches, gardens with fountains and palatial rooms while explaining the Hammudid and Nasrid history of the fortress. The views over the port and the Mediterranean from the top are spectacular.
After the visit to the Alcazaba, you have the option of extending the day with Gibralfaro Castle (14th century, with the best panoramic views of the city) or the Picasso Birthplace Museum on the Plaza de la Merced. There will also be time for lunch at one of the bars and restaurants recommended by your guide in the historic centre.
At the agreed time we begin the journey back to Seville. We drop you off at your hotel or at the original meeting point. The return time is flexible — if you want to stay longer in Málaga or have dinner there, just mention it when arranging the tour.
