PRIVATE TOUR – RONDA & WHITE VILLAGES

What will you see in Ronda?

Embark on one of the most complete excursions from Seville: the private tour to Ronda and the White Villages, a route designed for those seeking history, scenery and Andalusian authenticity all in a single day. Our local guides, with more than 15 years of experience, take you to the most fascinating corners of the Serranía de Ronda.

You will visit the impressive The Puente Nuevo of Ronda, built over a 120-metre-deep gorge (El Tajo), the medieval historic centre, and the picturesque whitewashed White Villages of the Sierra de Cádiz: Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra and Setenil de las Bodegas, famous for its houses literally tucked beneath the rock.

Beyond the monuments, you will enjoy authentic experiences: local cuisine at restaurants chosen by our guide, traditional crafts and strolls through alleyways that seem frozen in time. Remember that we also organise this excursion from Granada, Málaga, Marbella and other cities in Andalusia.

What you'll see on your visit to Ronda

The Puente Nuevo of Ronda

Built between 1759 and 1793, the Puente Nuevo spans the 120-metre-deep gorge of Ronda (El Tajo). It is the city’s most iconic symbol and one of the most impressive viewpoints in all of Andalusia. Beneath its central arch lies the old chamber that once served as a prison.

Grazalema

Considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, Grazalema stands out for its whitewashed houses and its views over the Sierra de Grazalema Nature Park. It is famous for its artisan cheese with a Denomination of Origin and for being the place with the highest rainfall on the Iberian Peninsula.

Setenil de las Bodegas

A village literally built inside the rock: its Cuevas del Sol and Cuevas de la Sombra streets run beneath enormous stone overhangs where the houses use the rock itself as a natural roof. A place unique in the world, ideal for photographs and tapas in its cave bars.

Zahara de la Sierra

Dominated by an imposing 13th-century Moorish castle, Zahara looks out over the Zahara-El Gastor reservoir with postcard views. Its historic-artistic centre has been declared a National Monument. The village is also a gateway to the Sierra de Grazalema Nature Park.

A suggested itinerary

A comfortable pick-up at your hotel or an agreed point in Seville (or from Granada, Málaga, Marbella or another city). We travel in a private vehicle through the Serranía de Ronda: landscapes of dehesa woodland, mountains and white villages that make the journey itself part of the experience.

We arrive in Ronda and head to the Puente Nuevo, the city’s landmark built over the 120-metre gorge (El Tajo). We stroll through the medieval old town: the Bullring —the oldest in Spain, founded in 1785—, the Moorish quarter, the Renaissance palaces and the viewpoints looking over the Guadalevín Valley.

We continue to one of the most iconic White Villages. In Grazalema you will enjoy its panoramic views, whitewashed architecture and artisan cheese with a Denomination of Origin. Zahara de la Sierra, with its Moorish castle crowning the turquoise reservoir, is an equally fascinating option. You decide.

Lunch at a typical restaurant chosen by our guide: Denomination of Origin products such as Grazalema cheese, mountain cured meats, cockles and local wines. Free time afterwards to stroll, shop for local crafts or simply relax on the terraces with a view.

Optional: a visit to Setenil de las Bodegas, the most distinctive of the White Villages, where the houses are literally built beneath enormous overhangs of rock. We can also include Olvera, Arcos de la Frontera, El Bosque or any other village you have in mind. The itinerary adapts completely to your preferences.

We return to Seville, Granada, Málaga or your city of origin with the satisfaction of having explored the best of the most authentic Andalusia. The journey back, with the sunset over the mountains, is the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable day.
