PRIVATE MULTI-DAY JOURNEY
MULTI-DAY PRIVATE TOUR · 16 DAYS PRIVATE
16 days crossing two Atlantic countries — from Madrid north to the Basque Country, west to Santiago, then south through Portugal: Porto, Coimbra, Fátima, Sintra and Lisbon.
Spain and Portugal share an Iberian peninsula but almost nothing else — language, food, architecture, temperament and landscape are entirely distinct. This 16-day tour takes full advantage of that contrast, moving from the fierce regional pride of the Basque Country through the rain-soaked romance of Galicia and into Portugal — where fado, azulejo tiles and saudade create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else.
We begin in Madrid and head north through Segovia, the Basque Country and San Sebastián before crossing into Galicia and Santiago de Compostela. We cross into Portugal at the Minho River and descend through Porto, the Douro Valley, Coimbra, Fátima and Sintra to Lisbon.
Two countries, one private vehicle, 16 days of extraordinary travel.
